Hi, I’m Kate. I suspect many stretch/mobility coaches enter the industry from a position of pain. That’s my story anyway.

I’m a recreational runner. I ran for literally decades (not in a row, not like Forrest Gump… though I do like the occasional box of chocolates) without stretching, and in my late 40s it finally caught up with me in a very painful way. Achille tendonitis, ouch. Plantar fasciitis, double ouch.

Following a deep dive into myofascial and mobility training, I’m now the born-again non-smoker of the stretching world. Tell me your problems, and I’ll tell you stretching is the answer.

Unreasonable demands from your boss? Loosen your shoulders with an eagle-arm stretch. Cost of living crisis? Open up your back with a seated spinal twist. Teenagers driving you crazy? Lengthen out those hamstrings with a 3D dynamic walking stretch.

I firmly believe that a daily stretching habit will make your life better, allowing you to do all the activities you love, like surfing (and chores you don’t - but at least you’ll be doing them pain free).

Stretch today, your future self will thank you.

Hi, I’m Vickie, but you can call me Vix.

I have been a big fan of yoga for many years, primarily to help my lower back pain issues - especially now I’ve finally begun my learn-to-surf odyssey. But life is busy and I definitely don’t have time for a full yoga class on a daily basis so I started looking for ways to incorporate stretch and movement in a more efficient way. Basically I wanted the same fabulous results to keep me moving without back pain, without the full time commitment of a daily yoga class.

All of us are going to be a day older tomorrow than we are today, but we have the choice to focus on our strength, flexibility and mobility so we can age in the best way possible. Many people think of stretch as something we do before or after exercise. At Stretch Club, we want to change people’s mindset when it comes to stretching - we need to stretch to warm up for life!

I have absolutely seen the benefits of a daily stretch and mobility routine in my own life and I’m super excited to help other people discover the improvements to be seen with a minimum amount of effort and a maximum amount of consistency.

Look forward to seeing you in class and cheering you on to your own regular stretch habit.
